What a fantastic day for 2 reasons! First, thank you so much to Sandylikeabeach for nominating me to the Versatile Blogger Award, and second, I have just confirmed that Christmas in Prague is going to be a reality! Needless to say, it has been a good day all round!
There are a few strings attached with this nomination, so with no further ado:
1. Thanks the person who nominated me and link back to them.
Thank you again Sandylikeabeach! I am still new to blogging, and am loving it! I am learning so much from this and love reading other people’s blogs, see their pictures and share their stories. I am happy that people are able to read about my travels, enjoy my photos and share in my experiences too.
2. Share 7 things about me that are not shared on my blog.
1. I am crazy about Christmas – love all the lights, decorations and festivities. I actually have 2 Christmas trees in my house – a beautiful “grown-up” tree and a snow man tree.
2. While friends in school would never have considered me sporty, I have been know to have a competitive streak and have competed in cycling, show jumping/eventing and fencing.
3. I have a shoe problem – just give me a little more time and Imelda Marcos may be in trouble!
4. In spite of how much I have traveled, I still struggle to read a map! Somehow I get by.
5. My favourite drink is the Brown Cow.
6. I am a fair weather rider and ride my bike in the kitchen when the weather goes south without me.
7. I have broken bones from head to toe, and that includes my head and my toes!
3. Nominate and link to 15 other versatile bloggers (being new to blogging, this is a challenge – I seem to favour travel and photo blogs so not a lot of variety! I am expanding my horizons daily.) In no particular order:
Hole in the Donut Cultural Travel
Thanks again to Sandylikeabeach for my nomination. Happy blogging to all!
Very cool! Congrats! I think Europe over Xmas is amazing. We’ll be in Paris. While obviously different, there’s a certain exciting feel to the holidays when you’re abroad. So can’t wait to see what your trip is like and compare notes!
Thanks. I have been following your posts and would love to be in Paris for Christmas too! I am so excited about Prague – will definitely share!
Congratulations!
Thank you.
so the question of the day is…still putting those two trees up even though you’ll be in Prague for Christmas?? Wait. We all know the answer. Have a great time in Prague!
You know it – both trees will still go up!!! The house should not miss Christmas just because I am in Prague!
i’m SO excited about Prague for you!!! hopefully you’ll have a Christmas tree while you’re there 🙂 take a picture of it!
congrats on having such a loved blog!
and thank you again for the mention 🙂
Thank you so much for the nomination! Like you I am fairly new to blogging; I’m enjoying every post I read and having a blast writing my own. Keep up the great posts!! And congrats on your nomination too!!
Prague for the holidays. Wow, wow, wow. That’s a dream come true, I’m sure.:) Take lots of photos, please. 🙂
Congrats on your nomination; you deserve it! And thank you so much for nominating my blog! I’m still so new to all that is blogging, so it’s a wonderful compliment. Thank you so much!
My pleasure! I really like your blog, especially the candy apples! Could use something like that today! I gave myself a photo challenge on my photoblog (www.anitamacphotos.wordpress.com) and today is the letter A. The depth of colour you have in that shot is fantastic!
I will definitely post about Prague with lots of pictures! Can’t wait! It will be a dream come true.
I am navigational challenged too – cannot read a map – at least I have not had us completely lost, dazed and confused on our travels:) Thanks for the nomination. I love reading your blog – keep it up!
Congratulations to you and thank you SO much for nominating our blog! Also, I totally hear you on number 4. Navigation is NOT one of my strengths either. Thanks again!
My pleasure! and on the navigation front – at least sometimes we also find cool things we never would have known about! I can think of a few cute restaurants frequented by locals rather than tourists that I have (been lucky to) stumbled upon. Always an adventure.
Thank you very much, Anita Mac, and congratulations for being nominated yourself. I like your photos, too, and I am somewhat envious of all the adventures you have embarked upon so far. I am still busy doing some web searching to try to find out what the Versatile Blogger thing is all about. Do you know what this is and who is behind this award? When next time in Mallorca, why not make your way to Felanitx and be invited for a Cafe Solo. Thanks again for your kind consideration and your nice comment. Klaus
Hi Klaus,
To be honest, I don’t know where the versatile blogger started! I have seen other people’s blogs for who had won awards, and who they nominated. Sorry I can’t be of more help to you there! I know I was thrilled when I got nominated, and struggled with who to nominate. There are so many awesome blogs out there, and I keep finding new ones as I dig deeper!
Thanks for the invite – I am bringing a group of 11 people out with me to Mallorca in March! I would love to meet with you in Felanitx! Until then, I will continue to read your blog daily – I feel like I am getting to know Mallorca more and more with each one!
Congratulations on your Versatile Bolgging Award. Xmas in Prague will be fun. Looking forward to reading all about it
